Bridges wont work? Or am I just being a noob with them?

I tried to use a bridge across some water, I click once, it works like normal then it wont let me drag how many blocks I want it...even if I click again in the same place it just doesn't work???

Bridges are annoying. You have to place 1 tile at a time because the townies wont be able to reach the 2nd tile untill the firts peice is built. They will make it then drop it on the ground. So pretty much just make 1 piece at a time.

Well its a lesson every1 learns. I made a massive bridge once and I was wondering wtf was happening, I had the entire building filled with pieces.

It's not that you're being a noob, building all the bridge at once seems like the sensible thing to do... the problem is the townies AI isn't very clever yet, and they may try to make the other side's part of the bridge first, then find they can't place them, and leave them on your masonry / carpentry zone.
