I gotta finish uploading files to my WWII music radio station for D-Day, and I'll start a new town!

Are 0.47a saves compatible with 0.47b?

Thanks for the update, it's a great game.

Is there a way for GamersGate customers to get the update via some other channel? The delay last time was understandable because of the weekend, but a delay of potentially a week because GamersGate is apparently understaffed is a bit ridiculous.

No sorry, if you bought the game on Gamersgate you will have to wait until they updates, we can't do much :(
We sent emails to other Gamersgate members and we are awaiting a response

Sorry, I'm a bit of a newb. I purchased the game in early April (version 0.42 for mac). I'm trying to update it, but seem to be stuck downloading the demo only. Am I missing something?

There is a FAQ sticky under support...
http://www.townsgame.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=2167

It says this...
1. How do I update?
Updating is dependant on the platform you bought the game from.
BMT Micro - Please look in the email sent to you by BMT Micro when you purchased the game. The link in there will be the link used to update your game every time a new version is released.
Desura/Gamers Gate - You can update these through the client. There will be an option there to do so.
Desura (Standalone versions) - Login to desura > click your name, taking you to your profile > click "Games" > click "Towns" > click "play game" > click "Standalone versions" > choose the version you want. Video Tutorial

Also, here you have the instructions of how to proceed in case you lost the BMT email:
