tree farms

10 wood make a tree farm give 1 wood in 2mins
10 wood and 2 apple to make a apple tree farm 1 apple a min
10 wood and 2 pear to make a pear tree farm 1 pear a min

in my mod pack I already have apple and pear farms

Use apple/pear/lumber bushes as the material to construct them. That and the usual 4 wood. Bushes are already used as ingredients for the potted plant decoration and in some soups, so it's not a technical hurdle, my any means.

I tried a more dynamic idea then farms for 0.41 but hit some limitations. We will have to change those limitations at some later point, and then I can implement farmable apple and pear trees the way it should be :)

So, sorry to say but pear and apple farms will not be in 0.41. But you can use bluesteels mods for that :)

More dynamic sounds nice. I can't wait. What I'd rather not see is a few more 3x3 farms that drop an apple or pear every few minutes. That can get a little bland. Anyway, I'm eager to see what you come up with!

Indeed. I want to get rid of buildings for that purpose. But making farms viable without being overpowered in-game is a tricky one without some new mechanics. It's high on my "I want this" list, but our list is pretty big so I can't really promise much sadly.
