replace furniture

Postby Pirad » Sat Mar 17, 2012 9:50 am

When I want a table at an other place, the only way is to delete the dining room below and then build a table where I want it. A replace menu item would be cool.

Er. Why not just make a new table?

Because he wants to move it from one location to another one. Waste not, want not.

OP, there are other people that want the same thing.

It doesn't work for furniture atm, but you can do it for utilities.
e.g. Just delete the masonry zone under them, and the mason benches will have red X's on them ready to be moved.

@xinvoker: It is the same with tables and dining room, but if you have four chairs around a table and want to move them only one peace further you have to be lucky that the right chair is moved first.

I would have to agree with this idea. It's been many times where I needed to move various things so that my town was estetically build the way I wanted.

What.

I always found it extremely annoying when I accidentally delete a zone, all utility within becomes null even when the zone is restored, having to delete rebuild them. That really an option? You can actually move them around? It's just that the utilities, as I said, becomes useless even when the zone is restored (I hope they fix that).

I would then really like if that was possible for most (if not all) furnitures.
