IIRC, you will require water for sugarcane :)

So, why mess with water anyway? few reasons, first, its nice :) second, there's a new food item, sugar canes, that require water to be in a 2 cell distance from it in order to grow. the sugar cane is used to make sugar canes beer and cakes which will give an happiness boost.

Missed this.

Well, this is almost cool enough to make up for losing the cowmill!

Ok, so it's actually way cooler than the cowmill. I still miss the cowmill, though.

I miss the cowmill too.

And when I see this turning water wheel, I just wonder if a cow could fit in.

maybe a baby cow...

They should add a mini cowmill decoration... then it can be preserved and be fashionable.

It's easy enough to make a cow mill item, the catch is the whole multi-block thing... I wonder if a one-cell badger mill would be possible..?

If there were a way to link the water wheel to another item then things could get really interesting - a wheel-driven millstone, and all otehr kinds of mechanicaly powered goodness...

But for me, just beign able to control teh flow of water is enough. I mean, that's been a dream from the earliest days of Towns, adn the first thing I'm building in V10 is an epic fountain!
