Amazing work!

Postby Erick Doe » Mon Jul 02, 2012 1:05 am

Hello! I just wanted to express how happy I am to have run across this game. You've practically picked up on all my favourite games from the past, and mixed them together. I've only played for a few hours, but I can already tell that it was money well spent. Glad to be able to support this project. Can't wait to see what other features will be added during development.

I've also taken a look around the game's files and I think I'll start doing a texture pack or a smaller graphics project this summer. I love working on sprites and pixel art projects. Have worked on Minecraft texture packs and am currently also working on another indie game called Starfarer.

Anyway, glad to see games like this are still being developed!

For minecraft? I was working on a sci-fi texture pack called "Space Station Iota", alongside one of the Technic Pack developers. It was to be a whole pack, including a mod, map of a space station, player skins. However, this was in the days of 1.8.0 with constant updates coming out, so the project was eventually put on hold.

Here's a video of the texturepack

Here's another

I love recreating game cities I love, but minecraft was too hard to make pictures out of.. This game is perfect.

I enjoyed it as well, but I pretty much all but have quit playing MC right now as I felt that Mojang was adhering to their whole "block" concept a little too much and they should have moved more towards the aesthetics side of the game. It's all well and good to build the mansion of my dreams but if every room in it is just an empty space or holds a table and stair for a chair it looses it's charm fairly quickly for me.

I think I can safely say that in Towns, I don't have any rooms or buildings that are empty and that's a really good thing.

I find minecraft boring.. Nothing to do except build... It gets lonely. Atleast in towns I can order my sla-townies to do stuff for lolz

Shame, you should have tried multiplayer Minecraft. Plenty of people on most good servers to keep anybody from getting lonely. But I agree, Minecraft needs more than just building, although I suppose the numbers don't lie, with the millions of MC players, they've obviously done something right.
