Yes wall blocks will stick to other wall blocks beside them which lets you do that. So we can do more proper looking bridges.. or Sky cities or build on a river or lake :P

That's totally sweet. Can't wait now because I have huuuuuge plans now due to the fact that we can have hanging bridges and we can build over lakes.

3 heros arrived and I have 2 highlanders and a desert looking guy.
12 townies now so doing good.

I assume barbarian.

Take note that Highlanders and the barbarian can only equip bone and wood armor (+ boots of haste found under goblinite armor).. so if you have bone around leave some lay around your balcony (set a stock pile for bone armor by it then delete it once it is all hauled there) - and they will take it when they idle in the balcony.



this is what they can use:

Sips
cloth,bone,wand,misc

Sir Punchwood
metal,cloth,wood,bone,hammer,spear,mace,sword,axe,misc

barbarian
cloth,wood,bone,hammer,club,spear,mace,sword,misc

dwarf
metal,cloth,wood,bone,hammer,mace,axe,misc

Elf
cloth,wood,bone,bow,misc

mage
cloth,wand,misc

Thief
cloth,wood,bone,hammer,club,spear,mace,sword,axe,misc

highlander
cloth,hammer,club,spear,mace,sword,axe,misc

knight
metal,cloth,wood,bone,hammer,spear,mace,sword,axe,misc

(misc is like vanity items, pig slayer helm is metal despite being in misc).

There is no cloth armor yet either really. you can edit the files later and add metal to every hero if you think it is to annoying.. but down to the hobgoblins its enough.. and maybe lower depends a bit on luck :P.

I don't think he is a barbarian he looks more like a desert warrior with a curved blade but he may very well be a barbarian.

Oh then he is a thief.. I was thinking the barbarian cause he has a red bandana (was thinking turban earlier :P)... Barbarians do not come with any equips.. and thieves come with the curved blade.

Which is the best hero to have? And I can't get them to equip anything even tho it's lying around in my fort. I would say sips or punchwood but I don't know how to get them to come....

you can't pick which heroes come you can just meet the requirements for each so they might come, they were in the last link I sent..

As for the best.. with no modding Sir punch wood Dwarf and Knight are the best as they can use metal gear... then Elf is pretty decent.. thief wont get you in to as much trouble as a barbarian will and mages are kinda lack luster atm... as they cant even use bone and wood gear.. making them rather defenseless.. everyone I ever had died.. even my mage with a badger hat sips wand and boots of haste was no match for the depths.... He was the most amusing hero though I guess... :P

They mostly only equip themselves if they are idling by it... and it isn't in a stockpile or weapon/armor chest... as only heroes with low moral will steal from you.. Which is why you set it all near a balcony so when they idle in the balcony they will auto equip the gear in it.. you do that by setting a stockpile for the gear you want them to have.. then delete the stockpile so it is just laying on the ground/floor..

So they have to steal the armor and wepons from me. That's not very nice of them..... They don't clean out dungeons very fast either the sorta walk in explore a bit kill like 5 things (most of the time) the leave...

yeah they can be slow and they can be fast.. it is just a bit random when quests get added it'll go quicker I am sure.. and Heroes with high moral will never actually steal off you (if it is on a stockpile or in a chest it is assumed yours.. anything on the floor is fair game :P) but heroes with low moral will take your gear even from chests/stockpiles..

and they will equip themselves in dungeons randomly.. I think when they kill a mob they idle for a little bit so if a mob drops something they should equip it.. but like a lot of things it needs tweaking.

If you get more townies you'll get more heroes.. and more heroes will clear stuff quicker.. but then you also get bigger sieges and more risk of the heroes dragging mobs back to town :P..
