Arena happiness?

Anyone know how happiness works with the arena?

Do people gain happiness per each hit landed by a badger, or do they get happiness per kill?

atm I think they gain no happiness from the arena itself.. or the balcony. At lest I have never read anything saying they do.

But rather since they idle on the balcony they can gain happiness from nearby objects. and more kinds = more happiness bonus.

I'm *so* tempted to mod arena badgers to attack monsters, then just breed them and let them loose to act as shock troops against sieges.
