Too deep underground crash [SOLVED]

Too deep underground crash [SOLVED]

Postby Raszlo » Wed Sep 25, 2013 6:02 pm

When I dig deep enough to be able to scroll down to lvl -19, the game crashes whenever I do this (by mistake or on purpose).
Win7, Steam.

I'm trying to reproduce it, but I can't.

The last layer is -19, and that layer is not minable/diggeable..... any clue?

Perhaps it depends on the savegame? If you could upload your saved game, we could see if it crashes for us too.

I think it was a normal map type, the first thing I clicked ;p No mods used.
there is the saved game: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/14974530/raszlo.zip

So everytime I go on the next unexplored floor, start digging there, and then try to scroll down, I get a messageless crash on -19th floor.

Mined down to -19 just fine. Is there a specific place where you mine to make it crash?

I think those were random places, but usually near the stairs in the right corner of the map.
I dig it, then I use mouse wheel to scroll down and maybe it is too dynamic and manages to overcome some scroll restrictions and makes the game try to scroll to -20 and crash. No other ideas by now... I got it like 4 or 5 times already with different time passed after loading the saved game and digging in random places.

Can't reproduce. It might be a pathfinding issue that only happens with a specific mining style that's completely different from what everyone else is doing. So is there an error log in the towns directory?

BINGO! Managed to reproduce. It's related to the 3d mouse. It only happens when 3d mouse is enabled.
