Great! Could you try installing the Flatland mod btw? It should crash but it would be good to know.

I installed it, picked flat lands and ended up with a normal map. no crash.

When I try to run modinstaller.bat cmd opens and closes quickly. I was able to quickly see that find is not a internal or external command, so how do I fix that? (I am on a Windows 7)

Could you guys do 2 things?

1. Try running the ModUnInstaller.bat
2. Replace your ModInstaller.bat with this one: http://www.mediafire.com/?ac2kc9atcv9nvdl

Good and bad news guys!
The good news is that I found the problem, and some other bugs too on the way.
The bad news is that the problem is on your end Link, from what I can understand it has something to do with you missing system32\find.exe or missing the path to it.
I will try to do a workaround so I can remove the use of the "FIND" command in the Modloader.

Modloader 8.4 released:

  • Added workaround for people crashing because of "FIND", delete your Modloader.ini
  • Fixed not typing yes or no in Error #5 sending you to Error #4.
  • Added ID numbers to Error messages.
  • Fixed Modloader crashing if the Mods folder is empty.
  • Fixed some behind the scenes stuff.

Modloader 9.0 for Towns 0.50 released!

Big update guys, almost all advanced mods will need updating, if for example you had a mod that edited ADVitems.xml it will probably edit ADVitemsUtils.xml now and the file will also have to be changed a bit, please take a look at the respective files inside the \ModUtils\ folders.

Changelog:

  • Vanilla code moved from "*.xml" to "*Utils.xml"
  • Added capability for "Dupe modding".
  • Fixed ADVmenu_rightUtilTraps.xml not working
  • Fixed ADVmenu_rightUtilTrapsUtils.xml not working
  • Added menu_productionBurner.xml
  • Added menu_productionBurnerUtils.xml
  • Added menu_rightDecorativeIndoor.xml
  • Added menu_rightDecorativeIndoorUtils.xml
  • Added menu_rightDecorativeOutdoor.xml
  • Added menu_rightDecorativeOutdoorUtils.xml
