Dig Site Mod - by Jontis_00

This mod adds dig sites, new improved mineshafts. I felt that mineshafts were very overpowered, because they just produce tons of ores for no cost at all! But that's no fun, is it?
Dig sites take up a 1x1 space, they will have to be placed on the ore just like with mineshafts. But! The citizens will have to work in the dig sites to produce ore. The dig sites also requires pickaxes to be built.
This mod adds a new strategic element to the game, you will have to trade your citizens time for ores, I guess time is really money. No more slamming down a mineshaft and there you have infinite ore!
Pickaxes can be crafted in the dig site category in the productions menu.
Dig sites can be built in the dig sites category in the right menu.
Workers in the dig sites can be assigned in the dig site category in the productions menu.

Features:

-Nice graphics by OgreGeek!
-Adds 5 dig sites for stone, coal, copper, iron and gold.
-Citizens can work in the dig sites.
-Adds 4 pickaxes, wood, stone, copper and iron.

Features not included:

-This mod does not remove the mineshafts, so you can still "cheat" with them if you really need to.

Bugs:

No known bugs!

How to install:

1. Requires modloader
2. Place the files in the Mods folder found in your Towns folder.
3. Launch ModInstaller.bat

This looks really nice, would love to test this out as soon as I get time to it. Love to see changes to the game that makes it a bit harder.

Depending on how adept your ITpeople are you should easily manage to bypass a block by using hidemyass.com or any similar site.

I think they filtered it because of the URL, rather than the service that this website provides.

My school is not just strict about internet, they have BLOCKED EVERYTHING that allows p2p, filesharing, social media, gaming/flash.
rerouting behind their wall of fire, dns block and ip block, will result in getting our internet access invoked through our accounts then our MAC address. :(

But tested out your mod, I really do like it a lot instead of having the mineshafts. Keep up the quality of your work. ;)

Sounds cool, can't wait to see if it works.
also some problems with this mod I forgot to mention: The wooden pickaxe and iron dig site shows up as bushes, and when making the wooden pickaxe the citizens will carry wood the entire time (missing a <destroyItem> ?)

Fixed a few bugs, can anyone else confirm that the woodenpickaxe and iron dig site textures are missing because it's working for me?
