Well, gnomoria does lots of things really smart.

It seems like towns try to frown upon any civilization based underground. Also DF is an AMAZING game! No need to give Gnomoria a hard time for seemingly recreating an epic game but with better graphics and UI. We should support both games and encourage both devs to create the best game they can. That being said I love my underground city and a 3d DF, so Gnonormia has most of my attention right now.

How is that a plus? you mean thematically?

i think he means with towns its more based on buildings kinda more modern in a way...and with gnomoria its got more of a feel people go for with a game of this type a bit less modern thats how i took wat he said but i could be wrong

I thought he meant towns is more toward players who want to build on the surface.. where as gnomoria is more focused on building a city under ground. And he perfers carving out an underground town to building a village/town above ground..
But Towns - looks like - will be more underground friendly next patch.
Camping wrote:idk i do agree tho with towns you are pretty much forced to build all the main stuff on the surface due to the bonus for roofs being on and roofs not being on underground...
on the other hand since ive kinda put towns down some in my last posts i also like towns how its just a simple ladder to get down a level...i like the roof idea...the wide variety of mobs and animals (even tho more is guna be added to gnomoria im talking about currently)
overall i like both games and will play both games for quite some time and Ben keep up the great work love all the details thats coming along on the terrain and stuff!

Well, yes, i more than agree with the fact that towns encourage people to build outside, i just cant understand yet how is that an objectively disadvantage..
