Terraria

I'm sure at least half of the people on this forum have played terraria so we should have a thread to discuss it, you know, say how you found terraria, post some screenshots of your constructions, etc. I'll start:

I found terraria because I was browsing my brother's steam account (I didn't have my own at the time) and I noticed terraria there, I had heard some stuff about it but I forgot it all so I decided to try it because it looked interesting. I spent a long time trying to figure out how to cut trees down so I rage quit for awhile, it turns out it takes a minute or two to cut one down and I was impatient. Once I found out how to cut trees I dug myself a hole in a mountain which was my home for awhile. It also took me a long time to realize what "walls" were (After spending a long time on the wiki)... I thought it was just like normal building material only you couldn't use it in recipes and you got more of it... Now I own my own copy and nearly have hallow stuff, though I haven't defeated any hard-mode bosses.

Now it's your turn:

I discovered Terraria while playing Minecraft and watched the video series of TotalBiscuit and Jesse Cox playing it and I thought they were hilarious. So when I finished playing Minecraft I got my roommate to get the game too and we played co-op terraria for a while. It was a lot of fun and we discovered pretty much everything at the time, but stopped playing just before some big new update with unicorns I think.

I, also, played Terraria on my brother's steam account (the same one who messes with my Towns .xmls every time he downloads the updates for me. btw, the werepig thing was hilarious for anyone who gets the reference  ). However as it was so difficult to get game time, I gave up on Terraria, especially after development ceased with so many bugs still left in the game. It's a great gameto play, but it just lacks a little too much polish for my taste :(

All Tb and Jesse cox's fault! Well, actually, Everything started with minecraft. I heard a lot about minecraft, so I started watching tutorials (couldn't affor to pay for it then) to keep me entertained. Mostly Paul's tutorials :P. Then started seeing other people's videos, Jesse Cox was one of them... and then i got to his terraria series with TB.

They were so hilarious... I started watching their videos, and some other youtuber's videos about Terraria. One of them, Mayatutors, had a contest where the comment with more thumbs up would win a terraria copy... I just commented that that wasn't really fair (people can ask for thumbs up to their friends, hack it, or whatever), only to end up winning  I really didn't expect that! Well, now I have my Terraria. I haven't played it a lot, cause playing alone is not much fun and my PC runs slower than a potato, but it's there and I hope sometime, with a "non-potato" PC I'll have time to play it :D

It's a little fun but playing with people is better... Especially using wire creatively in their house...

I discovered Terraria through YouTube like many others. I started playing and got addicted for about 48 hours over one weekend. I unlocked hard-mode and got the new ores and stuff. After finding out that the hard-mode bosses are almost impossible to beat alone, with the exception of the Twins, I got bored and frustrated and stopped playing.

I got bored when they implemented anti-grief. I loved the days when I rained hell across servers... Literally. I dropped dynamite while flying everywhere. Ah... Good times.
